What an impactful year we have had so far...and we are just getting 2017 underway!

So far, we have supported a number of nonprofit service programs and engaged Students to both grow and make a difference in their communities.

Highlights to date:

  • Two events in one day where images for Good supported the launch of a new church (The Vine in Falls Church, VA) in the morning and Islamic Relief USA's fundraising Dinner for Syria in the evening.  Photos provided to IRUSA are here.

  • Support for NOVA HTI (Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Initiative) as The Loudon County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution declaring January 2017 Human Trafficking Awareness month.

  • The City of Falls Church's March for Unity, Racial Healing, and Justice on Martin Luther King Day...supporting over 500 marchers as well as documenting the subsequent panel discussion in City Hall (photos were provided to the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation, City of Falls Church, Northern Virginia Urban League, Fairfax County NAACP, Temple Rodef Shalom, Congressman Don Beyer, The Falls Church News Press, and Fairfax County Communities of Trust).  Our support to this event was coordinated by one of our Students...and the OTHER supporting Student obtained his first online AND printed bylines of his work! Student-created, edited, and arranged images can be found here.

  • Support for Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School's Science Fair

  • Support for Thomas Jefferson Elementary School's STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Night...where over 300 Students, Parents, Faculty, and Sponsors explored these topics in fun, engaging ways...and where 3 ifG Students participated (two new to the program, and the other serving as a Mentor after only being with ifG for four months!).  Here's an overview of that event.
